Failures are a steeping stone to success...............
Failures are a steeping stone to success...............
This line has been taught to us since childhood. But do we really know its meaning? We all follow the jungle-law: Survival of the fittest & in the process we strive to be the fittest of the fittest. From little things like speaking grammatically correct english to making bigger decisions of life we are always under pressure to EXCEL. And in the process we try to be someone who is not us. We try to imitate & hence become exactly like our forefathers.
I am not saying that we shoudnt try to improve ourselves but with every improvement the benchmark is raised & so are the expectations. So where is the limit then? Where is the line of success? And who is to decide it? I really pity todays kids who are pressurised to do the best. 99.95%??? not enough !!!!!!. No admission in medical. Coz someone else has got 99.96%. So where does the kid go? Into depression & that too at such a young age.If a 0.01% can make or mar a person's whole life then are'nt we the weakest creatures of the lot? What we are taught is to face failures but not how to learn from them. I Think we should have a subject on "How to NOT to get affected by failures or shortcomings".
Survival of the fittest YES!!!! & that's what we do...... SURVIVE......... Nobody's LIVING.
Well I don't want to sound sadist or spoil the weekend but just wanted to put my thoughts into words.

Hi rashmi,
In todays world if you feel the way you are feeling, you are not alone. There is a whole lot people out there trying to be what they are not. In today's world everyone wants to earn 400$ Million dollars like Mr. Bhatia who created MSN and dreams of retiring at the age of 40!!!
What each one of us forget is not everyone is Mr. Bhatia as not all fingers of hand are equal. We should believe in what we are good at instead dreaming to someone else.
